In analysing, understanding and designing environmental governance of material/environmental flows criss-crossing national borders through socio-material infrastructures and networks, conventional models and interpretation schemes based on government, nation-states and international regimes are increasingly being challenged and questioned. This paper assesses whether a ‘sociology of flow’ approach may be helpful in analysing new environmental governance arrangements for such transnational environmental flows. It intends to apply such a perspective on transnational flows of shrimps. |
